SYMPTOMSWhen you send a message
CAUSEThe message sent from the Exchange Server IMS is converted to an encoding type of "multi-part/mixed," causing Eudora to treat the graphic as a standard attachment. In addition, the IMS uses Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) as message encoding, a method that neither Eudora nor Netscape can decode. RESOLUTIONSend graphics files to Eudora or Netscape recipients as attachments. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
This behavior does not occur if messages are sent as attachments within the Microsoft Exchange Server environment, or with Outlook connected to the Internet sending to other mail clients with standard POP3 connectivity. Additional query words: OFF2000 OL2K
