OL2000: No Horizontal Scroll Bar To View Wide Object Pasted Into Message in RTF

SYMPTOMS

If you paste a wide object, such as a bitmap, graphic, or a wide table, into a message that uses Rich Text Format(RTF), Outlook does not provide a horizontal scroll bar so that you can view the portion off the right of the screen.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem follow these steps to set Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.



2. On the Mail Format tab, click to select Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages.



3. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem only occurs if you paste a very wide object into a message that uses Microsoft Rich Text as the e-mail format and you are not using Word as your e-mail editor.
