NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSYou are using Outlook to attach to a cc:Mail post office. You have messages stored in personal folders on the post office which contain embedded graphics. You attempt to import the messages using the cc:Mail Service Tool, Import cc:Mail Folders. After the import is complete, you find that the graphics are missing. CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the technology used by Lotus to embed objects in a cc:Mail message differs from that used in Outlook. RESOLUTIONUsing the cc:Mail client, send the graphic files as standard attachments instead of embedded objects. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
