SYMPTOMSIf you receive a message using Outlook, you do not see the attachment icon (paper clip) in the table heading of your view, even though the message contains an attachment. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONThis problem can occur in more than one situation. Situation 1 - Remote MailIf you configure Outlook Corporate or Workgroup (CW) to use Remote Mail with a Internet E-mail account, when you download the message headers you do not see an attachment icon for those messages with attachments. When Outlook downloads message headers from an e-mail account (POP3) the downloaded headers do not contain useful attachment information.Outlook (CW) configured with a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account does show the attachment icon in Remote Mail message headers. This is because of the difference in what information is downloaded using an Exchange Server service versus using an Internet E-mail (IMEP) service. Situation 2 - Secure MailIf you receive a secure S/MIME message using Outlook Internet Mail Only (IMO), you do not see the attachment icon in the table header of your view. The same message received in Outlook CW shows the attachment icon.Additional query words: OL2K
