NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSIf you use Outlook 97 or Outlook 98 and and receive messages from a person using Microsoft Office 2000, your messages may not display bitmaps correctly.
RESOLUTION
You can avoid this behavior for Outlook 98 recipients only, by using the Paste Special command in Word instead of Paste, and then choosing Device Independent Bitmap as the format. This resolution does not work if the recipient is using Outlook 97. For a resolution that works with all versions of Outlook, use Rich Text format and Outlook as the e-mail editor instead of Word. Specify the Format for Each MessageOn the Actions menu, point to New Mail Message Using, and then click Microsoft Outlook Rich Text.Change the Default Message Format
