OL2000: The New Call Dialog Box Does Not Show the Type of Number

SYMPTOMS

When you start a new call to one of your contacts in Outlook, the Number list does not show the type of telephone number, for example, Home, Business, Mobile and such.

RESOLUTION

Open the contact and on the Actions menu, point to Call Contact, to see the labels for each number available for the contact.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
