OL2000: Reminder Displays Through Screen Saver

SYMPTOMS

When running Outlook on Microsoft Windows 98, a reminder that appears while your screen saver is active, may display through the screen saver.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the Microsoft Office Assistant is active.

RESOLUTION

Hide or turn off the Office Assistant, and set a password on the screen saver. This will prevent the reminder from displaying over the screen saver.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
