NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option. To determine your installation type, on the Help menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed. SYMPTOMSAfter you click OK on the Servers tab of the Symantec Fax Starter Edition (SFSE) account properties, you get the following error message:
CAUSEYou have selected the option to force Outlook to ask for a name and password to log on to the account, using Log on using Secure Password Authentication. RESOLUTIONRemove the SFSE account from the account manager and restart Outlook:

SFSE does not require secure password authentication. There is no way for fax systems to send authentication information to validate a fax account. When you select the option to Log on using Secure Password Authentication, Outlook clears the account name box for the user to enter the information manually. Additional query words: OL2K
