NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to dismiss an appointment reminder you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEYou have two separate Outlook clients accessing the same Microsoft Exchange Server account. This problem is especially prevalent if the two computers are set for different time zones. RESOLUTIONTurn off the option to "Always use local calendar" or run only one Outlook client for the Exchange Server account. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONThe option "Always use local calendar" is designed to cache your calendar items on your computer to improve performance. This option is on by default.
