OL2000: Multi-line Text Field Does Not Display In Card View

SYMPTOMS

You create a text field in an Outlook custom contact form and set the multi-line property for the field. After publishing the form you add the field to a contact card view, and notice that the customized view will only display a single line of text ending with an ellipsis (...) when the field actually contains several lines of text.

CAUSE

The card view is designed to only display multi-line data for default Outlook fields.

RESOLUTION

View text in custom fields with multi-line attributes in the contact form, or in a tabular view with the field added to the view.
