Unlike earlier versions of Outlook, you cannot change the default font used for composing e-mail messages by editing the Email.dot file.

To Change The Default Font When Using Word As Your E-mail Editor

  1. Open a new mail message and click in the body of the message.


  2. On the Tools menu, click Options, and on the General tab, click E-mail Options.


  3. On the Personal Stationery tab, select the desired stationery and font options for composing, replying, and forwarding messages.


  4. Click OK to dismiss all dialog boxes, and close the open message without saving.
