NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSIf you use a Remote Access Service (RAS) to log onto a Microsoft Exchange Server computer, and an associate has sent you a meeting request with a large file attached, Outlook appears to stop responding until the file is downloaded. CAUSEWhen the appointment is received, the calendar update process pauses while the file is being downloaded. RESOLUTIONRequest that your associates send files as attachments to mail messages, rather than as attachments to appointments.
