OL2000: (CW) Error Message: "No Transport Provider" Sending to cc:Mail Mailing Lists

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation.

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Lotus cc:Mail post office and an Outlook client, when you attempt to send a message using in excess of four post office mailing lists in the Bcc box, you may receive the following error message:

No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.


RESOLUTION

If mailing lists are included in the Bcc box, include no more than four lists per message. Compose and send a duplicate message for each additional group of up to four mailing lists.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
