OL2000: Size of Outlook 2000 Toolbar Icons Do Not Change

SYMPTOMS

If you click to select the Large Icons check box when customizing your Outlook 2000 toolbar, the toolbar icons may not be resized.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, do not use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor. To retain many of the formatting abilities of Word, use Microsoft Outlook Rich Text or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) as your message format.

To change your message format:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.



2. On the Mail Format tab, click to clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.



3. In the Send in this message format box, click either Microsoft Outlook Rich Text or HTML, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

• When you use Word to edit e-mail messages with HTML as the message format.



• You use the Send to Mail Recipient command in any Office 2000 program.
