OL2000: Spelling Checker Does Not Check Selected Word of Reply

SYMPTOMS

If you reply to a message, select a misspelled word in the body of the original message, and then use the spelling checker, the selected word is ignored.

CAUSE

You have selected the Ignore original message text in reply or forward option. This setting overrides any selected text in the body of the original message when you use the spelling checker.

RESOLUTION

To turn off the setting to ignore spelling errors in the original message, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.



2. On the Spelling tab, click to clear the Ignore original message text in reply or forward check box.



3. Click OK.
