SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to change the recurrence of a meeting scheduled with a Microsoft Schedule+ resource account, from a single meeting to a recurring meeting, or from a recurring meeting to a single meeting, you may receive the following error message:

Unable to directly book the resource <resource name> because it does not accept conflicting meetings. You may want to remove the resource, select another resource, or reschedule the meeting.

The message above may be followed by:

Cannot send this meeting request.

RESOLUTION

Remove and redefine the entire meeting.

-or-

Invite the resource account as a Required attendee rather than a Resource.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
