NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSWhen you use Outlook 97, if you attempt to open a contact created with the Small Business Customer Manager (SBCM), you may receive one of the following series of error messages followed by: Because Outlook 97 does not support integration with SBCM, another series of errors may also be seen: If you click OK, the following error appears: NOTE: These errors only occur when the contacts are stored in a Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox. CAUSEThe Contact form for items created with the SBCM uses a custom form with form controls that Outlook 97 cannot access. WORKAROUNDAccess these contacts with Outlook 2000. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
