SYMPTOMSIn Outlook, if you use the Separate from Small Business Customer Manager command and then attempt to import the Contacts using Small Business Customer Manager (SBCM), you see the updating message, but contacts are not imported. CAUSEThe specified command resets the message class of each contact selected, but does not change the SBCM database Contact Index number. MORE INFORMATIONThe Separate from Small Business Customer Manager command reassigns the message class of the Outlook contacts from IPM.Contact.SBE to the default IPM.Contact. Since the SBCM Contact ID is still set, the import process assumes that the Contact does not need to be imported.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
