OL2000: No Private Field for Appointments and Tasks in Field Chooser

SYMPTOMS

The Field Chooser does not contain a Private field for "All Appointment fields" or "All Task fields." However, if you open or create an appointment or task, the Private field check box is available in the item.

RESOLUTION

You can choose the Private field in the Field Chooser by selecting the "All Contact fields" option.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
