SYMPTOMSYou are using Microsoft Windows CE synchronization services to synchronize information between Outlook and a Handheld PC. When you attempt to change e-mail modes using the Reconfigure Mail Support feature, Outlook appears to complete the process, but when you check, the mode has not changed. RESOLUTIONTurn off Windows CE services by undocking the Handheld PC and then run Reconfigure Mail Support. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONWarning: An attempt to switch e-mail modes while the handheld device is docked and in communication with Outlook may result in an unstable condition which may cause damage to Outlook.
