NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSYou have multiple e-mail accounts configured in a single profile, but have selected only one account to check. Outlook checks all mail accounts in the mail profile when you have mail checking scheduled to occur at a specified interval. RESOLUTIONCreate a separate mail profile for each account you wish to check, and configure Outlook to prompt for the profile to use during startup. MORE INFORMATION
When Outlook connects at a scheduled interval, it downloads mail from all the mail accounts in the mail profile. This occurs even though the accounts are not selected for delivery.
