OL2000: Attachment Icons Are Very Large

SYMPTOMS

When you click an attachment in a mail message, you see that the bounding box is several inches wide.

This does not happen when you use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.

CAUSE

In Display Properties, you have selected Arial as the font for Icon Items.

RESOLUTION

Select another font for Icon Items in Display Properties.

The Icon font setting determines the font used for icons on your desktop and file attachments in Outlook. To select another font, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Windows desktop, and then click Properties.



2. Click the Appearance tab.



3. In the Item list, click Icon.



4. In the Font list, click any font other than Arial. MS Sans Serif is the default Icon font.



5. Click OK to apply the changes.
