OL2000: (CW) Unable to Use Pictures in Customized Team Folders Screens

Microsoft Outlook 2000

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation.

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to embed picture files in customizable Team Folders messages such as the Welcome message, a red <X> appears in the image placeholder. In addition, if you attempt to insert the image, the file icon appears as an attachment in an Outlook message.

CAUSE

The technology used to build the Team Folders page cannot access the image file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
