OL98: Error Message "STOP 0x00000050" When Selecting Page Setup

SYMPTOMS

When you click Page Setup on the File menu, in Outlook running on Microsoft Windows NT, you receive the following error:

STOP 0x00000050 (0xe2800000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000002)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

CAUSE

This is caused by the ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP video driver.

RESOLUTION

Set the Display properties to 65,536 colors or less.

To set the Display properties:

Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.

Click Display, and on the Settings tab, under Color Palette, click 65536 Colors or less.
