NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSWhen you start Microsoft Outlook 98 or first connect to your MCI Internet Mail server, you may receive the following error message: Following this message, you may notice that sent mail does not leave your Outbox. RESOLUTIONThis behavior may result from incorrect settings in the Internet Mail service properties. Follow these steps to troubleshoot this behavior:

The MCI Internet Mail system uses one server for receipt of messages and a
second server for sending messages. In the Internet Mail service profile,
the Internet Mail server box identifies the mail server from which you
receive mail. The Advanced Options of the Internet Mail service profile
enable you to name the sending e-mail server.
