SYMPTOMS
When you send an e-mail message containing an embedded object, the
embedded object may be lost if you are sending the message via the
Internet Mail service in Microsoft Outlook 98.
CAUSE
The message may be stripped of the embedded object if either of the
following is true:
RESOLUTION
If you send a message to someone whose e-mail client supports Microsoft
Exchange rich text format, you can send the message without losing the
embedded object.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATIONEven in cases where the message is stripped of an embedded object, if you look at the message in the Sent Items folder on the computer the message was sent from, the embedded object will be intact. There will be no indication in the received message that it contained an embedded object when sent. Additional query words: deleted missing gone blank
