After you install Outlook 98, if you wish to revert to Outlook 97, you

If you installed the Standard version of Office 97, the information for the installed Office components is stored in the Off97Std.stf file. Outlook 97 and Outlook 98 share many of the same files. Some of these files are newer and contain different information; if you remove one version of Outlook, the other version will not function properly.
