SYMPTOMS
When using the keyboard to navigate between items in the Folder List (for
example by typing the folder name), the focus may change to the information
viewer (the right pane of the Outlook window that contains the objects to
be viewed).
CAUSEThis problem may occur in the Outlook Web views, such as the Organize tool, the Find tool, or Outlook Today. RESOLUTIONOnce you have selected a Web view or Outlook Today page, you must quit and restart Outlook to have keyboard navigation work normally again. It will continue to work normally until you select one of the views mentioned in the "Cause" section. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. MORE INFORMATIONFor example, if you change focus to the Folder List (using the mouse or SHIFT+TAB), type a folder name and wait less than a second, the focus moves to the top item of the folder that's selected instead of remaining on the folder name in the Folder List.
