SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to start Microsoft Outlook 98 using the Outlook icon on the Windows desktop after you upgrade to Microsoft Windows 98, a configuration dialog box for Microsoft Networking Online Service (MSN) may appear instead. CAUSEWindows 98 Setup tries to detect the existence of MSN, and if found, associates an update utility with the Inbox or Outlook icon. When you double-click the icon, the MSN update utility starts, providing you with the ability to migrate to the new version of MSN prior to starting Outlook. Under certain conditions, Setup performs the association even if you are not a member of MSN. RESOLUTION
