SYMPTOMS
When trying to move the contents of a folder with the Move Folder command,
the entire folder moves and becomes a sub-folder of the destination.
CAUSEThis is by design. The Move or Copy Folder commands will move the folder, folder views, and settings as well as the folder contents. MORE INFORMATIONThere may be times when you may want to move the contents of a folder to another folder. The Move Folder option may seem to be the logical method to accomplish this, however this will move the folder, folder views and settings, along with the contents to the destination as a sub folder. To Move the Folder Contents OnlyTo move the contents of a folder to another, use the following steps:NOTE: Any items being filtered or Sorted out of the view will not be moved. Clear all filters and sort options before starting this process if you want everything to be moved.
