SYMPTOMSUsing the HTML messaging format in Microsoft Outlook 98, you create and send messages with graphics inserted. When recipients view the messages, they report that graphics are not displayed. Additionally the placeholders are marked with a red X. CAUSEThe graphics you inserted in the mail message referenced a hyperlink to a Web site location and the recipients were not connected to the Internet when they viewed the message. RESOLUTIONIn order to ensure that recipients can view graphics in an HTML message, when working offline, you must embed the graphics in the message.
