NOTE: These procedures only apply if you installed Microsoft Outlook 98 with the Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to create a new folder in your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox, you may receive the following error message: When you attempt to move messages between folders in your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This may be caused by moving messages from a Personal Folder to the mailbox
on your Microsoft Exchange Server, and then moving the items to another
folder in the mailbox.
RESOLUTION
You may be able to avoid the errors by using the "Exit and Log Off" command
on the File menu, and allowing the Messaging Application Programming
Interface (MAPI) Spooler to exit. This usually occurs within 15 seconds.
You may then restart Outlook and be able to create the new folder or move
the message.
