SYMPTOMSThe display name of a Microsoft Exchange Server recipient does not include the user's middle initial, after being added to the Personal Address Book (PAB). This behavior may cause confusion when two or more recipients have the same first and last names. CAUSEWhen adding an Exchange Server recipient to the PAB, or a Personal Distribution List (PDL) in the PAB, the new PAB entry's Display Name field is generated using the First Name and Last Name fields of the Exchange Server recipient's mailbox, not the Display Name field. RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, an Exchange Server administrator must modify the Exchange Server recipient's mailbox to include the user's middle initial as part of the First Name or Last Name fields. For example, you could modify the mailbox: First Name: John Q. Additional query words: 98 GAL migrate
