Microsoft Exchange will allow the Send As permission to be granted to a delegate so the delegate can send mail as their supervisor. A delegate using Outlook may set the From field to their supervisors name, but when the message is delivered, it may appear as coming from the delegate rather than the supervisor.
No errors or warnings are displayed. CAUSEA logic error prevented the checking of From field when the name was replaced. Later, when the message was sent, the From field (sender property) was left blank, so the delegate's name was used as the sender. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Product Name service pack
