NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate or Workgroup" if you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation. SUMMARYWhen you create a Rules Wizard rule that automatically forwards messages or replies, the message does not appear in the Sent Items folder. There no indication that the message was forwarded; however, the the message is forwarded according to the rule. MORE INFORMATIONThis behavior is because the rule is processed on the Microsoft Exchange Server computer. The delivery point for your incoming mail does not effect this behavior; delivery to the server mailbox, or to a local personal folders file produces the same behavior. Outlook used with the Internet Mail Only setup option does save a copy in the Sent Items folder. Steps to Reproduce
