OL97: How to Specify RTF for Specific E-mail Addresses

SUMMARY

You can selectively specify to send e-mail messages to contacts and persons in your Personal Address Book in Rich Text Format (RTF). Those recipients having the capability to read RTF can then display your messages with character formatting, color, and so on.

To select the RTF sending option for Contacts, follow these steps:

  1. Select your contacts folder.


  2. Open the contact in a card view by double-clicking on the card heading.


  3. Double-click on the e-mail address, or using the right mouse button, click the e-mail address, and then click Properties.


  4. Select the option, "Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich-text format."


  5. Click OK.


  6. Click Save and then Close.


To select the RTF sending option for Personal Address Book Recipients, follow these steps:
  1. Click your Delivery Inbox on the Outlook Bar.


  2. Click the Address Book button on the toolbar.


  3. In the Address Book dialog box, under "Show Names from the," select Personal Address Book.


  4. Double-click on the e-mail address, or using the right mouse button, click the e-mail address, and then click Properties.


  5. Select the option, "Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich-text format" on the SMTP-Address Tab.


  6. Click OK.


  7. Click Save and then Close.
