SYMPTOMSWhen you send a message over the Microsoft Network Online Service (MSN), versions 1.3 and 2.0, using Microsoft Outlook 97, the message may remain unsent in your Outbox when you click "Check for New Mail" on the Tools menu. If you use Remote Mail, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEThis behavior may occur if your message has a category assigned or your message contains an attached Outlook contact in the message body. Attached notes, tasks, or journal items in Outlook do not prevent message delivery with the MSN service transport. RESOLUTIONRemove any categories or attached contacts from your message and try to resend the message. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
