SYMPTOMSWhen you click a system file folder in Microsoft Outlook 97, running on Microsoft Windows 95, you may receive the following error message: If you are running on Microsoft Windows NT, the error message may read:
CAUSEThere is a problem in the Views.dat file. This file stores File Allocation Table (FAT) name space view persistence. RESOLUTION
To resolve the issue, quit Outlook, rename Views.dat file (normally found
in the default Windows directory), and restart Outlook. This rebuilds the
Views.dat file.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97.
