SYMPTOMSIf you send a file attachment from Microsoft Mail for the Macintosh to Microsoft Outlook 97, the attached file may indicate a larger file size using Outlook, version 8.02, than if you use Outlook, version 8.01. RESOLUTIONThis problem does not occur if the sender names the file with a three letter extension prior to attaching it to the e-mail message. If the attached file contains a three letter extension in the file name, the additional header information does not appear in Outlook and the file size remains the same as in previous Outlook versions. STATUSMicrosoft is researching this problem in Microsoft Outlook 97, versions 8.02 and 8.03, and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
