SYMPTOMSWhen you receive e-mail in Microsoft Outlook 97 using the Outlook support for Lotus cc:Mail, German umlauts characters appearing in the Subject line of e-mail messages do not display correctly. CAUSELotus has confirmed that a bug in the Vendor Independent Messaging(VIM) file, version 6.02.01.4, causes the problem. RESOLUTIONLotus will fix this in a future release of VIM. Microsoft has not tested the workaround supplied by Transend Corporation
and therefore cannot guarantee its results.
