SYMPTOMSWhen sending a message with a custom form in Microsoft Outlook 97 the message sizes may be larger than expected. This can be true even if you do not choose the option, "Save form definition with item." CAUSEThe form design is too complex and Outlook sent a copy of the form with the message. RESOLUTIONSimplify the form design by removing some fields. MORE INFORMATION
Outlook provides an option when designing a custom form to send the form's
definition along with messages generated by the form. This allows
recipients of the message who do not have access to the library containing
the form, to see the custom form when opening the message. Selecting this
option increases the size of the message.
