CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you connect to your Internet mail server using a SOCKS proxy server, even though you can successfully connect to the Internet using a SOCKS proxy server. Outlook Express for Sun Solaris is unable to use a SOCKS proxy server. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook Express for Sun Solaris. MORE INFORMATIONIf you monitor the SOCKS proxy server, the tool that you use to monitor the SOCKS proxy server may not report any requests by Outlook Express.
