SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use mail storage (.idx or .mbx) files, or the Windows Address Book (.wab) file from a Windows-based computer, you are unable to start Microsoft Outlook Express.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the hardware architecture for Windows-based x86 computers and UNIX-based Sun SPARC workstations is different.
