SYMPTOMSWhen you send a meeting request, you are allowed to place Distribution Lists on the To line as required attendees. When the recipient accepts this meeting invitation, the original meeting item shows that recipient as an "optional" attendee instead of "required". CAUSEWhen Outlook receives a meeting acceptance, the sender of the acceptance is compared to the recipients listed in the meeting item attendees. If that recipient is not listed, it is assumed to be "optional" and is added to the list of attendees. STATUSThis behavior is by design. Additional query words:
