OL97: Entering a Past Date May Result in a Date in Next Century

SYMPTOMS

When you type a date that is past, in the current year, in a Calendar or Task item, the year advances by one century.


RESOLUTION

Install Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Open a new Outlook Appointment item.


  2. In the Start Time box, type a past date in the current year, and then press ENTER. For example, if today is Monday 8/30/99, type 7/30/99.


  3. Click Start Time to display the calendar.


RESULTS
The date selected is in the next century, or July 30, 2099, using the example.
