PPT2000: WARNING: Multiple Instances of Meeting Minder May Cause Data Loss

SYMPTOMS

While you are viewing a slide show, you are able start multiple instances of Meeting Minder at the same time.

This can happen when you perform the following steps:

1. While you are viewing the slide show, you right-click the slide and click Meeting Minder.



2. With Meeting Minder still open, you press ALT+TAB to return to Microsoft PowerPoint.



3. On the Tools menu, you click Meeting Minder.

RESOLUTION

When you open Meeting Minder, do not return to PowerPoint until you have clicked OK in the Meeting Minder dialog box, to close the Meeting Minder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Having multiple instances of Meeting Minder may cause data loss. Use only one instance at a time.
