ERROR MESSAGEIf you setup and schedule a broadcast after you turn off the Organize supporting files in a folder option, the share where you stored the files now has a folder named:broadcastYYYYMMDDHHMMSSWhere YYYY is the year, MM is the numerical month, DD is the day of the month, HH is the hour, MM is the minutes, and SS is the seconds that this folder was created. In that folder is another folder named "Previous_files." This folder contains an HTML version of the presentation. On workstations and file server shares that restrict the user from creating folders, this will cause the following error when PowerPoint tries to create the broadcast folder UserID: Where Servername is the name of the server you are connecting to, Sharename is the name of the share that you are going to save your presentation to, and UserID is the username or ID of the user. CAUSESThe two folders are always created when you schedule a presentation broadcast. PowerPoint ignores the Organize supporting files in a folder setting to prevent the individual broadcasts from overwriting each other and to provide an easy way to catalog broadcasts for archiving.MORE INFORMATIONFor additional information about troubleshooting Online Broadcasting, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q229951 PPT2000: Troubleshooting Online BroadcastingBack to Top Additional query words: PPT2K PPT2000 PPT POWERPNT 2000 PPT9 9.0
