SYMPTOMSAfter installing the Global Input Method Editor (IME) 5.01 on your computer, when you try to access the IME in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, it is not available. CAUSE
PowerPoint 2000 does not support Global IMEs. You must use PowerPoint 2000 with the same Asian language version of Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 95, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to access the IME for that language. MORE INFORMATION
An Input Method Editor (IME) is a program that allows you to type Asian text in programs, by converting your keystrokes into Asian characters. Different Asian languages require different IMEs; for example, to enter Japanese text, use the Japanese IME.
