SYMPTOMSWhile you view a Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Show, you can press the B or W keys on your keyboard to turn the screen entirely black or entirely white. If you do this and then switch to any other slide, the screen unblanks before PowerPoint switches slides. This means that if you are on slide three, press B, and then type 5 to switch to slide five, you briefly see slide three before you go to slide five. CAUSESlide blanking (and unblanking) is an independent action from slide changing. When you switch to another slide while the screen is blanked, PowerPoint restores the screen first and then switches slides. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
