To install and run PowerPoint 97, you must have the following:

• A personal or multimedia computer with a 486 or higher processor running Microsoft Windows 95 operating system, Windows NT Workstation version 3.51 with Service Pack 5 or later, or Windows NT Workstation version 4.0 with Service Pack 2 or later. PowerPoint 97 does not run on earlier versions of these operating systems.



• 8 MB of random access memory (RAM) for use on Windows 95; 16 MB of RAM for use on Windows NT Workstation.



• VGA or higher resolution video adapter (Super VGA, 256-color recommended.)



• Microsoft Mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse, or compatible pointing device.



• 26-58 MB of hard disk space required; 43 MB required for typical installation. You can use the Microsoft Office 97 Upgrade Wizard to delete unneeded files from earlier versions of Office and maximize your available disk space.



• CD-ROM drive (coupon enclosed for 3.5-inch high density disks). The compact disc contains additional items not available on disk. These items include Microsoft Internet Explorer, additional clip art, clips video (.avi files), and sound files.

• 9600 baud or higher modem (14,400 baud or higher recommended)



• Windows-compatible sound card required to use sounds



• Microphone required to record presenter's voice



• Microsoft Outlook required to schedule meetings and export tasks from Meeting Minder



• TCP/IP running on local area network or the Internet required for Presentation Conferencing



• Some Internet features may require Internet access and payment of a separate fee to a service provider
